Are you wanting a positive and calm birth but have uncertainty on how to get there?
The 5-session HypnoBirthing program and a trained mentor (me) will ensure you and your birth companion are ready for birth by freeing yourself of fears, know what to expect of birth, have techniques to cope with pain, know how to avoid unnecessary intervention and a HypnoBirthing toolkit to ensure you're stay in your birthing zone.
As a Director of the peak maternity organisation, Maternity Consumer Network, I know firsthand how prevalent non-evidence based care is in our maternity system is in Australia- 1/3 of women suffer birth trauma, 1/10 end up with PTSD, 1/4 of women reporting no informed consent for episitomies, and 43% of our healthiest women (low risk) are induced. I'm very blessed to be the only HypnoBirthing practitioner in the country who has HypnoBirthed 5 children.
Every family deserve more than just a childbirth education book or an intensive weekend course- you need a mentor and an evidence-based approach- with someone who has lived experience with the techniques of HypnoBirthing and also knows how our birthing system works.
What is HypnoBirthing about?
There are 5 distinct units covering everything from what you need for support in labour and birth, your birthing muscles and hormones, how to stay relaxed and reduce pain, what birth companion can do to best support you, best positions for birth, hypnosis to reduce pain and fears, deep levels of relaxation
how to avoid unnecessary intervention and changes you can make to your birth environment to
optimise your birth space.
What do you get?
12.5 hours of mentored class time, 5 relaxation MP3s. One-on-one session if needed, HypnoBirthing textbook by Marie Mongan, coloured, bound handouts of scrips, birth preferences, birth companion handouts.
If you’re just pregnant or considering becoming pregnant, also check out my e-class, as it's full of lots of evidence based information which will assist you with all the nitty-gritty decisions to make, even before you start looking for antenatal classes.
What if I am FIFO family, a rural or regional family, or can't make all 5 classes?
I have online classes via zoom and I also structure my classes bi-monthly to make sure there is plenty of time for me to teach you all course content, offer any one-on-one support and mentoring, so you are approaching birthing day like a birthing rockstar! Birth companions are encouraged to make as many classes as possible.
Why a bi-montly timetable?
Quality over quantity. I know I'm at my peak when I have time to recharge and give all of my birthing wisdom over during the course time. I haven't just had 5 HypnoBirths, I've been teaching it for over 8 years. I combine lived experience with many years teaching to know what works best for me and the couples who choose me as their mentor.

Are we a good fit to work together?
If you're thirsty for knowledge, want an experienced mentor who teaches, has lived experience + insider knowledge of how the maternity system works, I'd love to help prepare you for birthing day.
I am down to earth whilst enjoy making classes fun. I'm sharp with data and science and always love to pass on latest research and evidence in pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Ideally, you're enthusiastic to put the knowledge and research into practice i.e. do your homework :) and can have a collective laugh- yes birth is serious business, but coming together with a shared vision is lots of fun too.
Why are classes over 5 sessions?
We form new neural pathways with repetitive and regular exposure to information and experiences, so the "little and often" approach to learning is far superior and gets results. The structure of the course allows you to get the most out of classes, go home and practice the techniques and allow the information to settle, before returning to class to build on the skills.
Wherever you choose to birth.
